- Transpersonal Counseling
This service is offered to those interested in the body-mind-spirit connection and integration. The spiritual experience, also referred to as the transpersonal or transcendental experience, involves tapping into your divine Self and allowing it to guide your life. If you see yourself as a spiritual and sensitive individual, this service would be a good fit for you. Being a highly sensitive and intuitive person is a gift and I would say, a Superpower. I am happy to support you in finding ways to stay grounded, manage your energy, and establish healthy boundaries so that you can embrace and celebrate your gift. Through mindfulness practices such us meditation, visualization, breathwork and energy work, I support you in your path to connection and integration of your body, mind and spirit.
- Individual Psychotherapy
I offer an affirming and collaborative space for exploration of Self and connecting with your inherent capacity for healing. My holistic approach to psychotherapy is informed by my formal training and exploration of the following frameworks and modalities: Contemporary Psychodynamic and Attachment Theory I have always been curious about the complexities of our inner and relational dynamics and how early relationships and experiences during our development have an impact on the way that we relate to ourselves and the world during adulthood. Internal Family Systems (IFS) Internal Family Systems is an evidence-based model of psychotherapy founded by Richard C. Schwartz, Ph.D. based on the premise that the mind is naturally multiple and that having these multiple parts is actually a good thing. This model resonates with my view of our inner experience. It teaches that our inner parts are not good or bad, that they contain valuable qualities and are who they are for a reason. IFS states that our Core Self knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole. In the IFS model, all parts are welcome. Mindfulness Therapy Mindfulness therapy refers to having a conscious awareness of the present moment. It invites us to approach our experience with openness and without judgment. Although certain mindfulness practices allow for relaxation, that is not the focus in Mindfulness therapy. The aim is to increase our awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and actions and the way these impact our perception of ourselves and the world around us. This expanded awareness allows us to equally expand our perception and shift our perspective about ourselves and others.
- Groups: Women Healing Together
This is an affirming, empowering and non-judgemental space for women navigating their beautiful journey of healing. Women are often exposed to limiting ideas about who we are that shape the way we relate to ourselves and the world. False self-beliefs such as, "I am not good enough," "I should control everything" and "my needs are not important" impact our emotional health and get in the way of living fulfilling lives. Trauma and personal/socio-cultural oppression reinforce feelings of unworthiness and powerlessness. In this 6 week module, we explore ways to move beyond these narratives towards the embodiment of the powerful women that we are. We reflect, share and learn with and from each other. We use mindfulnes practices such us breathing, journaling, meditation, visualization and more. Welcome!
